I just couldn't resist!

I was browsing the Detroit Free press, and the political cartoonist, Mike Thompson, has a contest each week titled Your Mike. He draws a cartoon, and then invites readers to submit captions, the best of which then run with it in the paper. I read him regularly, and practice my writing by sending in entries. Several weeks ago one I submitted actually was selected a finalist. It any case, this weeks contest showed two guys in an office cubicle, and the one guy, decked out in Spartan green, was saying something obviously cutting to one very glum guy wearing maize and blue.

Like I said I couldn't resist. Doubt if I will win, since my entered caption was "Cheer Up. We're only halfway to the streak the Buckeyes have been putting on you!"

In perusing all the entries, I then saw that some fellow Buckeye had beaten me to the punch, and actually done me one better. His or her suggestion was "You might want to schedule leave for the whole week after the Ohio State game!" Good one!
